CBFi Virtual World
Three tips are at the core of our development of CBFi Virtual World 🌐👩👩👧👦
Do you remember the beginning of the lockdown?🔒
This probably feels like a long time ago, but it’s only been a few months. all were forced to sit at home and work at home. A long time ago when after working hours hanging out in a coffee shop was no longer possible. Our social life had shifted to the internet and most people felt good about it and others had to follow in order to continue working, including school children who had to switch to online learning …
If you fast forward to today, things look different. What seemed new and exciting at first quickly began to repeat itself. The stereotype and awkward feeling of having to go through using Zoom are too much to tell. Most people are starting to miss the spontaneous and unplanned interactions that make up everyday office life. Going out for a coffee with a friend … A quick drink after work … The casual networking and exchanging ideas … We never would have thought how good we were before Corona. 😥
The same goes for events. Virtual events were undoubtedly new and exciting initially, but some of you have started to get a little BORED over time. 😵🥴🤮
How can you create virtual events that inspire participants from start to finish?
How can you create digital events that are memorable and help attendees connect with each other? 🤔
CBFi Brain Teams knowledge and experience in creating carefully designed digital event formats, content and spaces for interaction can be transferred to the virtual event space. Like a live event, we review the traditional event format and add improvements to exceed attendees’ perceptions and expectations.

We’re launching 2 phases with 5 Virtual maps. Any users can book virtual space with us to launch their private events, meet with their group or organise significant events such as conferences, expos or weddings in virtual experiences. 😁
Building on this experience, there are three ways to create a virtual world that will delight people from start to finish.
Special guests at digital events 😍
Sure, some aspects of virtual events are different from real-world events. But the reasons for participating are mostly the same:
- We want to learn things
- Listen to interesting people
- establish contacts
Special guests and speakers are a secret of the success of events and for a good reason. They work. Whether we’re attending in person or online, one of the best ways to get and keep attendees’ attention is by selecting the right guests and speakers. A well-known guest will immediately upgrade your virtual event experience and make it an unforgettable and rewarding experience. Also, one of the advantages of virtual events is that your guest can dial in from anywhere, which makes it cheaper and easier to get them involved.
Encourage active participation 👩🏼🤝🧑🏻
One of the great strengths of the internet is its interactivity. The online audience doesn’t just have to watch, and they can join in and become part of the online event.
Encouragement to participate is crucial if you are to create an immersive and memorable experience. People participate in live events and experiences because they want to feel part of the moment. If they didn’t, the best they could do was watch it as a recording.
A great way to encourage participation is to invite people to submit questions or topics in advance. In this way, you give them a much larger share of the event experience, and they will keep the virtual event in good memory.
If you have guest speakers, you can also invite your audience to develop questions for them. Interacting as a liaison between known and respected people and your audience is a great way to add value and create a memorable experience.
When you ask for people to participate, passive and easily distractable participants become fully involved participants. This creates a much deeper sense of connection with your event.
Create social spaces for networking 🏠🏢🏤🏨🏦🏩🏬
CBFi provides an engagement solution. Networking is one of the main reasons people attend real-world events. It is also one of the biggest challenges to map this in the digital world. But it’s not impossible. You have to do with the right technology and the best solution available.
The common mistake is creating digital rooms and meetings and expecting online attendees to figure out what to do with them. This might work offline, but online participants need a little more interaction.
Here are two great ways to create social spaces that people use and benefit from.
- First, give them specific topics or goals. This works even better if you can tailor them to the subject of a talk or content. That way, you can instruct people to come to the chat room after the conversation is over to discuss the topic in-depth or learn more.
- Another good approach is for your speakers to let attendees know that they’ll be in the chat room after the event and will be happy to answer any questions people have. Again, if you break down the barriers between your listeners and the people who respect them, they are more likely to get involved.
When people first plan a virtual event, they tend to think about the technical stuff. Which platform are you going to use? What will the landing page look like? How are people going to navigate around? These details are essential and need to be considered. But these details won’t help you answer the questions that matter:
How do we design an online event that the participants will remember?
Which did they tell their friends and colleagues about? Which you will remember for years?
We’re looking beyond the technical stuff and figure out the fundamental reasons why people attend real or virtual events. As we said before:
- to learn things
- To share ideas
- to network
These ideas will be translated when we develop CBFi Virtual World, ready at the end of September 2021. We will tap into those motivations — and if you combine all three, you will have an unforgettable virtual event experience.
